Ecos do CerradoPORTUGUESE (BR)PT-BR
PUBLISHER / PARTNER VIEW · UPDATED 22 SEP 2026

Inspect evidence. Cross-check records. Reconstruct what happened.

A narrative investigation game for PC where the player reconstructs disputed histories through evidence — with Goiânia and the Cerrado shaping the case.

Ecos do Cerrado is set in present-day Brazil, but it does not require prior knowledge of Brazilian culture. Documents, photographs, maps, architecture, testimony and environmental details provide the context the player needs to investigate. Brazilian specificity gives the project its identity; evidence provides the international entry point.

Current funding ask: US$35,000 total for lean PC completion, with the first US$8,000 ~2-month de-risking milestone included: scope lock, reproducible Windows baseline, stabilization, QA baseline and a review-build gate · narrative control and IP preserved.

PUBLIC DEVELOPMENT BUILD

A playable development build focused on investigation and evidence.

The public itch.io demo is now listed as version 0.93 RC for Windows x86_64 and remains in active development. For the correct files and current installation instructions, please follow the official itch.io game page. This is not a final release; complete human Windows validation is still pending.

01 · EXPLORE + INSPECT

Find the evidence.

Move through spaces, documents, photographs, maps, architecture, objects and testimony. Context is discovered in the game rather than assumed from the player.

02 · CROSS-CHECK

Test one record against another.

Identify details, omissions and contradictions. Investigation progresses by comparing sources rather than through a combat loop.

03 · INTERPRET

Build a supported reading.

Connect clues, decide what the evidence can support, and advance an authored investigation where understanding is the central reward.

FREE DEMO · OFFICIAL ITCH.IO

Play the demo or support Ecos do Cerrado.

Public demo 0.93 RC is available for free on itch.io. Contributions in USD remain optional and are never required to download. Check the itch.io page for current installation files.

COMPETITIVE POSITIONING

Positioned within a recognizable investigation and narrative-puzzle audience.

Ecos do Cerrado is being developed for PC within the investigation, mystery and narrative-puzzle space. The references below are useful audience and interaction comparisons; they are not claims of equivalence, endorsement or affiliation.

RETURN OF THE OBRA DINN

Logical reconstruction.

Shared audience signal: exploration, incomplete evidence and deduction. Ecos differs through a contemporary Brazilian city, multi-format documentary evidence and disputed histories.

THE CASE OF THE GOLDEN IDOL

Clues into a theory.

Shared audience signal: close observation, relationships, motives and causal reconstruction. Ecos focuses more on reconciling records across places, people and time than on discrete crime-scene tableaux.

HER STORY

Meaning from fragments.

Shared audience signal: player-led reconstruction from incomplete records instead of direct exposition. Ecos expands that idea through physical exploration, maps, documents, objects, architecture, photographs and testimony.

THE OPERATOR

Evidence-led investigation.

Shared audience signal: documents, fact-checking, connecting clues and following evidence. Ecos extends that investigative appeal into physical locations and urban and historical context.

PENTIMENT

Place, culture and mystery.

Shared audience signal: a specific place and culture meaningfully shape the mystery. Ecos is set in present-day Brazil and places evidence analysis at the center of the experience.

PRODUCT POSITIONING

Investigation-led PC experience.

Single-player, authored and evidence-driven. The project is not combat-led, not designed as a mobile hidden-object title, and not built around radically branching story routes. Replay value comes from interpretation, close reading and revisiting connections.

International positioning starts with the player action — inspect, compare, deduce and interpret — while Goiânia and the Cerrado provide the specific cultural and visual identity that distinguishes Ecos do Cerrado.

DEVELOPMENT BUILD VS. RELEASE TARGET

The public demo demonstrates the core experience; selected assets remain development-stage placeholders.

The current build was produced under independent funding constraints. AI-assisted voice and translation are disclosed as development tools and are not presented as the intended final production standard.

CURRENT DEMO · VOICE

AI-generated placeholder voices.

Current voice performances were generated with AI because full casting and recording are not yet funded. They help validate timing, tone, scene flow and the potential of voiced presentation.

CURRENT DEMO · TRANSLATION

AI-assisted development translation.

Current translated text uses AI to demonstrate bilingual coverage, test interface strings and make the project reviewable internationally during development.

FUNDED RELEASE TARGET

Human performance and professional localization.

With funding, the planned release pipeline replaces prototype character voices with human actors and moves localization through professional human editing and review, in-context LQA, terminology consistency and final regression.

PT-BR and English are the current base language path. Additional languages remain funding- and market-dependent. Release-quality work also includes external QA, accessibility review, audio and presentation polish, and store and release preparation.

PUBLISHER / PARTNER SURFACE

Where the right partner could help move Ecos do Cerrado forward.

The current future PC-completion planning figure is US$35,000, including the previously defined US$8,000 first milestone. It is a production-planning base case, not a term sheet, and excludes historical unpaid development. A partnership could combine capital, services or both while preserving narrative control and IP.

Nonolho Zeus, veteran journalist
NONOLHO ZEUS

Nonolho Zeus

Veteran investigative journalist · street reporter · documentary noir

Thirty-two years of reporting left him with one incurable habit: distrusting the first version, including his own. Nonolho separates fact, impression, convenient narrative and missing piece. He is tired of manufactured urgency, adjectives standing in for evidence and sentences too elegant to survive reporting. He keeps going because some facts still deserve to be rescued from noise.

Peculiar mind

Skeptical, methodical, self-doubting and dryly funny. The moment he realizes he has fallen in love with an explanation, he treats that as a warning sign.

Habits

He rewrites bad headlines in his head, counts recurrences before calling something a pattern, returns to the dullest detail after building a theory and trusts things less when they look too clean.

Desire & intimacy

Nonolho did not turn to stone; he simply learned to hide what he feels more efficiently. Desire, for him, is less conquest than the need to lower his guard for a few minutes. He values closeness that asks for no official version: skin, scent, shared silence, someone who can stay without interrogating him. Sex exists in his life as a suspension of the shift — a rare space where he does not have to check sources, weigh every word or plan the exit. That frightens him more than he admits. Solitude is easier to manage than being truly known.

“If the sentence closes better than the facts, I cut the sentence.”
Clarisse Ferraz, documentary researcher
CLARISSE FERRAZ

Clarisse Ferraz

Documentary researcher · context analyst · field observer · diarist

Clarisse is the archive’s synthesizing intelligence. She reads provenance, chronology, language, omission and contradiction before accepting any version as stable. Her intuition is fast, but she never mistakes it for proof: she cross-checks sources, tests competing hypotheses and notices when a narrative is trying to steer the reader. She is an adult, feminine and autonomous woman; her private life exists, but it never defines or diminishes her intellectual force.

Intelligence

Strong memory for detail, a fine ear for language and an unusual ability to spot inconsistencies. Clarisse can hold two competing hypotheses at once without falling in love with either too early.

Method

She compares origin, date, context, wording and what the record leaves out. She knows silence can be data, but it becomes an argument only when evidence supports it. Intuition opens paths; evidence decides how far she goes.

Desire & intimacy

Clarisse treats desire as part of her autonomy, not as a measure of her worth. She may want sex, touch, conversation or distance, and she knows the difference between wanting and owing, attraction and surrender. Good intimacy, to her, is a place where she does not have to make herself less intelligent to fit inside someone else’s desire. She wants to be seen whole — quick mind, body, humor, ambition, fear and pleasure. What attracts her is not being chosen; it is being able to choose without disappearing inside the choice.

Presence

Dark wavy hair, dark-framed glasses, a sober posture and an attention that is difficult to fool. She usually notices first and speaks later.

“Intuition opens the door. Evidence decides whether I walk through.”
